The Voron community is one of the most active and helpful in all of 3D printing. Thousands of builders, modders, and developers collaborate across Discord, Reddit, GitHub, and YouTube. If you are building a Voron or maintaining one, knowing where to find answers is half the battle. This guide maps every major community hub and explains how to use them effectively.

Voron Discord — The Main Hub

The official Voron Design Discord server is where most real-time help happens. Over 50,000 members, dozens of channels, and a searchable archive of build advice spanning years. Join at discord.gg/voron.

Getting Started on Discord

Upon joining, read the #rules-and-info channel first. Then assign yourself roles in #role-assignment to unlock relevant channels. You will need to select your printer model (V0, V2.4, Trident, etc.) and your region.

Key Channels

• #help-with-build — General build help. Post your question with photos and a description of your issue. Do not ask to ask, just ask clearly.
• #voron-mods — Discuss modifications, upgrades, and custom builds. Show off your mods and get feedback.
• #serial-request — When your printer is fully functional and printing, submit your serial request here. Follow the pinned format exactly.
• #klipper-general — Klipper firmware configuration, macros, and troubleshooting. The Klipper devs themselves sometimes answer here.
• #btt-hardware — BigTreeTech board specific help. Octopus, Manta, M8P, and other BTT mainboards.
• #klipper-expander — CAN bus, Klipper Expander, and toolhead boards.
• #pif — The Print It Forward program channel. Discuss parts sourcing and PIF logistics.

How to Search Effectively in Discord

Discord search is powerful but frequently underused. Use these tips:

• Use the search bar at the top-right of the server window.
• Filter by channel with in:help-with-build or in:voron-mods.
• Filter by author with from:username.
• Use quotes for exact phrases: "endstop triggered during homing".
• Search before posting — your question has likely been answered before.
• Use the #voron-search-bot channel for automated search across archived threads.

Voron Reddit Communities

• r/voroncorexy — The primary Voron subreddit. Build logs, completed printer photos, troubleshooting, and community discussion. Great for longer-form content and photo galleries.
• r/klippers — Klipper firmware community. Configuration help, macro sharing, and firmware development discussion.
• r/3dprinting — General 3D printing subreddit. Voron builds are frequently featured and upvoted here, bringing wider visibility to the project.

Voron GitHub Repositories

The source of truth for all Voron designs lives on GitHub. Key repositories:

Voron User Mods Repository

The Voron User Mods repository on GitHub is the official place to share and discover community-created modifications. Mods range from simple cable chain changes to complete toolhead redesigns. To submit a mod, fork the repository, add your mod following the directory structure template, and submit a pull request. The community reviews and merges mods that meet quality standards.

The PIF Program (Print It Forward)

The Voron Print It Forward program connects builders who need printed parts with community volunteers who print them. PIF providers are vetted for print quality and use consistent ABS/ASA settings. This is the recommended way to source printed parts if you do not have a printer that can reliably print ABS. Parts are inspected for dimensional accuracy and layer adhesion before shipping. The program runs entirely through the Voron Discord in the #pif channel.

Voron Sponsorship Program

Voron Design operates a sponsorship program where community members can support the project financially. Sponsors receive early access to new designs, a sponsor role on Discord, and recognition on the Voron website. Sponsorship funds go toward prototyping materials, printing costs for development, and infrastructure for the community.
